Q: How do you monitor the progress of the students?
Our swim lessons are performance based. Students progress at their own comfortable pace. The student’s progress is tracked and documented through our swimming course curriculum.
Q: How long will it take my child to learn how to swim?
Every child is different and therefore it is impossible to give an exact answer to this question. Each child progress at a different pace and has a different personality. However, practice and exposure are the keys to learning, therefore if you want your child to learn fast you need to take them to the pool regularly to practice. For individual with water phobia, the process will take longer. Don’t rush; your child will definitely enjoy the learning process.
Q: Why do infants and young toddlers’ class have shorter lesson periods?
Research shows that young children have shorter concentration span. Therefore, they will get tired quickly and tend to reject any other information if the lesson continues on for too long. Keeping the class period shorter will keep them happy.
Q: Where do you normally conduct your swimming lessons?
We can conduct private swimming lesson island-wide. All we need is just authorizing access to the pool. All group lessons are conducted at SSC Delta and Toa Payoh Swimming Complex.
Q: How do I enroll?
Registration should be made in advance before the lesson commence. The reason is because the swim coach has to accommodate to your lessons timing so that they can make themselves free on that specific day and time. You may call our hotline at 978 555 78 for information or request for more info via e-mail. We will provide you with useful information about the policies of the swim school. It is important that the parent and child are agreeable to the policies of the school before they sign up. The objectives of the school and parent’s outlook must be aligned and synchronized to ensure greater cooperation. Evaluation is by appointment only.
Q: What is the payment policy?
All payment should be made in advance before commencement of lessons and subsequent fees are to be paid on the first week of the month. Mode of payment is via cheque or cash.
Q: How long does it take to complete the entire program?
Our swim programs are performance-based, which means that the kids will progress when they demonstrate that they've mastered the required skills and knowledge. Because some learn faster than others, course duration varies. Generally it will take 2 - 2½ years to complete the entire program (Station 1-8) for a beginner. The learning ability will also depend on the child’s learning curve.
