Singapore Swimming Proficiency Award (SSPA)



A)  Objectives of SSPA
  • To Provide progression for swimming after SwimSafer
  • To raise the level of swimming proficiency of students and the general public
  • To increase the level of technical expertise among our swimming coaches
  • To provide a talent pool for the next generation of Singapore competitive swimmers
    
B)  Levels of Achievement
  • A total of 20 certificates and badges can be attained if the swimmer completes all the level. Nonetheless, the swimmer may wish to challenge himself or herself by attempting any particular level of swim test.
  • In completion of level 1, 2 or 3, the swimmer has an option to purchase a rainbow certificate and badge.
  • All strokes are to be swum in compliance with FINA rules for competitive swimming.
  • The minimum criteria - SwimSafer stage 1 / Learn to play / NASSA / SSA Time Trial.

  • The price is at S$10 per test, however special package deals are also available:



E)  Test Details
  • Centralized test venue :- Toa Payoh Swimming Complex.
  • Frequency :- Every quarter [March / June / September / December] on the last weekend of the month
  • Time : 9am - 1pm
  • Booking of test date can be done via SSA online platform [www.swimming.org.sg], or register your interest with our coaching team.
